Born in 1976, Martim Cunha Ferreira holds a degree in Architecture from Lusíada University in Lisbon. With a unique background, he has complemented his academic training with courses in Philosophy and the Humanities, Sculpture, Permaculture Design, Microfinance, and Construction Management. This multidisciplinary versatility gives him a humanistic, spiritual, and emotionally unique perspective on space and its surroundings.
He gained much of his experience at MC Arquitectos, where he worked on large-scale projects, such as the access roads to the Lisbon Airport Metro Station and the design competitions for the Todos os Santos Central do Algarve hospitals. At the same time, he built a strong track record in residential renovations in Lisbon, custom furniture design, and the coordination, supervision, and integrated management of construction projects.
Beyond his studio, Martim is also active in social entrepreneurship and community development. He is a founding partner of the A-F-A-B-R-I-C-A Cultural and Environmental Center project, a member of the CAUSA Association – United for a Home, was part of the winning team at the II BootCamp Power (INSEAD) with the BRINCA.nee project, and is a full member of the Gambozinos and the MAGIS project
A member of the Portuguese Architects’ Association, he views his profession as a mission to serve others. Every project he undertakes at Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos reflects an intellectual, physical, and financial commitment, resulting in architecture that aims to be beautiful, comforting, practical, and deeply sustainable.
