Through attention to people and things, their relationship with space, movement, and time, and the perception of value, we seek to refine the way we think about Architecture and design the best solution. A creative and realistic approach to understanding client needs and desires, combined with experience across diverse scales and complexities of completed projects, defines the guiding principles for each project. The idea expressed in the Project and materialized in the work is the result of a method that prioritizes careful program management, rigor in information processing, meticulous development of studies and designs, systematic site supervision, and evaluation of its use and ability to meet established requirements. 

Urban Planning

In the spirit of the Coherent City vision expressed by the European Council of Town Planners, Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos undertakes the coordination and management of transdisciplinary teams in Urbanism and Spatial Planning. We recognize the social interest of interventions and the need to balance public and private interests, ensuring their viability in all aspects.
Gastão da Cunha Ferreira is a Founding Partner of the Portuguese Association of Urban Planners and served as a Board Member of the Association of Portuguese Urban Planners (2008/2014). His experience in coordinating and implementing plans includes large-scale interventions, such as the new cities of Caraíba, Bahia, Brazil (17,000 inhabitants) and Barcarena, Pará, Brazil (130,000 inhabitants), as well as various plans in Portugal, with involvement from conception and programming through to execution.

Consulting

CUNHA FERREIRA ARCH.
To support accurately informed investment decisions, Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos provides extensive consulting services for defining alternative scenarios regarding various aspects of project viability and operational options to consider in its development. Services include defining and assessing client objectives,
the preparation of utilization programs, the analysis of regulatory frameworks and other constraints, the definition of approach and development strategies, and the preparation of a procedural roadmap, as well as the conceptual study of solutions.

Technical Audit

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos assists clients in the evaluation and negotiation of real estate assets and conducts technical audits. These audits may include, in addition to verifying the current and potential physical conditions of properties, the analysis and parameterization of the legal and regulatory framework, and the verification of other determining constraints.

Project Management and Coordination

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos undertakes the coordination and management of technical teams, ensuring the interface between the client and all internal and external stakeholders, as well as the reliability and quality of information collected and produced. This approach promotes appropriate procedures for project execution in accordance with established definitions and planned deadlines.

Project Review

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos carries out project reviews to verify their compatibility with the objectives defined by the client and with contractual conditions, evaluating conceptual options and compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, and technical standards.
For a more efficient intervention, the review should accompany the various project execution phases, with analysis reports being prepared to inform the client and support the project's technical team.

BIM Services

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos develops studies and projects using BIM (Building Information Modeling) in accordance with international standards, allowing stakeholders online access in 2D and 3D throughout all project phases using the BIM X application. BIM enables the digital recording of the physical and functional characteristics of an undertaking or building, and extends 3D spatial dimensions by associating time (4D) and cost (5D), as well as environmental and sustainability dimensions (6D) and
operational management (7D). From conception to demolition and the recycling of materials and components, BIM serves as a shared information source and a reliable basis for decisions throughout the building's lifecycle.
