Set on a flat, elongated, sloping plot, the house, perched on a hilltop, offers sweeping views of the northern slope of the Sintra Mountains.
The building consists of two volumes, which differ in form and function, connected by the main entrance, which is discreetly set back.
The east wing, a two-story structure, houses the bedrooms, utility areas, and dining spaces, and is characterized by the regular rhythm of its openings. In the west wing, which juts out further, the interior living space extends visually outward through a large opening designed around the fireplace.
The irregularly shaped pergola visually connects the two structures, creating an outdoor living space that serves as an extension of the home’s common areas.
