The project prioritizes a design featuring large interior spaces, where the structural solution, with two lines of central pillars and extensive cantilevered slabs, is integrated with specially designed facades that were factory-produced and assembled on-site as large-scale elements.
Located at the eastern end of Av. José Malhoa, the headquarters building of BNC – Banco Nacional de Crédito Imobiliário, SA, commands significant visibility due to its size and prominent position, especially in relation to the large open space of Praça de Espanha. Between the cores situated at the ends of the building's vertical body, which are connected on the upper floor by a horizontal volume, a large central glass panel is suspended above the entrance atrium. This panel creates a negative space relative to the horizontal volume, offers a viewpoint over Praça de Espanha, and acts as a transitional element towards the Mosque.
