Study to define guiding criteria for the planning of an Intervention Area designated by the Lisbon City Council, covering an area of 13.4 hectares located within a Mixed-Use Urban Development Area defined by the Lisbon Master Plan.
Located in a central part of the city, the area offers views of the Alcântara Valley, with prominent views of Monsanto Park and the Águas Livres Aqueduct, and is crossed to the west by the urban green corridor.
The proposal aims to ensure consistency between the internal design and its integration with the surrounding area—which is diverse and fragmented—while preserving and revitalizing the central core of the former estate, repurposing it for social and cultural facilities.
